Ronaldo….will he stay? Should he?

Let me say that first of all…i’m a Man Utd fans, and i’m sure that there is a lot of other Man Utd fans out there that is just as fed up as i am about this Ronaldo saga.
Sure he is a good player….very very good sometimes…and he proves his doubters wrong when he improves last season and becomes a better all around player and gave us 42 goals from midfield. But the thing is, even before all this drama begins, i like him as a player..but not as a person.
Go ask a real Man Utd fans about the playes they really love and i’m sure that Gary Neville, Eric Cantona, Ryan Giggs, Roy Keane. Wayne Rooney, David Beckham, and a lot of other names is mentioned more time than Cristtiano Ronaldo.
Why? Why would we love other players more than the players who can 42 goals and a lot of assists, a player who can single handedly change the game with moments of pure individual genious, a player who still trying to score when we’re already 3-0 up? For me it’s a simple answer…all of the other names mentioned above played for the team, Ronaldo on the other hand plays for himself.

I have never see a player celebrate an assist like he scores a goal more than Ronaldo, yes they may have celebrate their good work before running off to congratulate the goal scorer, but Ronaldo seems to expect his team mates to go up and congratulate him on a great assists..sure there won’t be a goal without his assist, but there won’t be a goal without the scorer as well.

And so far Ronaldo has never given us a reason to believe he loves Man Utd, and after all Sir Alex did for him after the Rooney incident, the least he can do is respect what the man and the club for what they did for him.
I heard about the rumour that Madrid will offer us 40 million Euros plus Wesley Sneijder, if that’s true i hope Sir Alex will receive the offer, Sneijder in my opinion is one of the best player in EURO 2008 , better than Ronaldo himself. And if Ronaldo sulks if Man Utd decides to keep him against his will…i’d say let him rot on the bench and make him realise that no player is bigger than the clubs.

And what do you think? Agree? or… Not?

I too am a utd fan and although I fully agree with much of what has been said I hope utd stick it out and screw Madrid for as much as possible, the tactics they are using is an attempt to get yet another great utd player on the cheap. If utd are a buying club and not a selling club lets show the Madrid’s of this world that by putting a price on his head which is double his real value, this will show them that we are not a selling club unless it is right for utd, it will also show our players how highly we value them, if Madrid come up the the cash asked of them and not a penny less, and we dont want to accept any of their rejects, if a player like Sneijder is wanted then do it on our terms and our terms only, if the cash and/or the players are right for utd then it can only be good business and let Ronaldo go, let Madrid leave him with no protection as a player and lets see how good Ronaldo really is in what I beleive to be a second rate team, all Madrid want is a cash cow and Ronaldo is now the most high profile player that Madrid can exploit.

Madrid is a profit making business and they see Ronaldo for what he can earn the club not what he can acheive.
